Andrea Ruiz-Hays
Andrea has extensive experience in leading multi-million dollar recycling programs – and in her 19-year career with The Walt Disney World Resort, she and her team implemented the standardized labels to help the 90,000 WDW employees know how to recycle more and recycle right. The RAA standardized labels were so successful in turning the WDW recycling program around, Andrea reached out to RAA and asked if she could join the RAA team to help grow this mission farther faster nationally. Prior to joining Recycle Across America®, Andrea has had over 25 years of leadership experience in Sustainability Integration, Operations/Hospitality, Strategic Programmatic Integration, and Corporate Citizenship programs. She is an active community member within Central Florida and has served as a board member of the Orange Soil & Water Conservation District (Supervisor), MBA Orlando, Out & Equal of Greater Orlando. Most recently she worked with her neighbors and City of Orlando to create the city’s largest community garden, which is located in the Historic District of Downtown Orlando.
In her role with Recycle Across America as Director of Strategic Alliances, she works with municipalities and corporations on a broad scale to implement the standardized labels and set up a truly successful recycling program.
